She enjoys moderating panel discussions, hosting events, planning and organizing seminars, teaching, mentoring young people and spending time with her family in St. Martin Bookfair Committee, the Business and Professional Women - Concordia, and the One St. Her experiences include faculty-led programs in research and service-learning abroad in the following countries: China, The Dominican Republic, Hong-Kong, and Senegal. Peters served as a visiting professor in the area of international relations for the Department of Political Science at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). Prior to pursuing her doctoral studies, Ms. She holds a Master’s of Science in International Affairs from Florida State University. She has presented her research at the National Council for Black Political Scientists, the Caribbean Studies Association, and the Martin Luther King Day Lecture hosted by the Conscious Lyrics Foundation in St. Her research interests are the complexities of non-independent territories and small island states and is currently writing her dissertation. Cindy Peters is currently a Doctoral Candidate in the Department of Political Science at Clark Atlanta University (CAU), focusing on International Relations, African Politics, Caribbean Studies, and Comparative Politics.
